Description:
Shannon is a compassionate and empathic therapist. She believes strongly in the power of the therapeutic relationship to bring healing and restoration to individuals, couples, and families. Therapy is a unique environment that provides a safe space to be vulnerable allowing your true self to be met with understanding and acceptance. Shannon has experience working with clients from different cultures, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and socio-economic backgrounds. She deeply values social justice, equity, and cultural competency and approaches each client with a learning posture, knowing every person holds their own unique context and history. Shannon has a collaborative and relational approach to therapy, employing a variety of therapy techniques depending on the needs and goals of the client. Shannon has extensive experience working with trauma survivors. She also has experience working with children and teens. She has provided therapy in schools, clinics, and domestic violence shelters. Shannon has a broad range of training, having completed advanced coursework in LGBTQ+ Psychology, Complex Trauma, CBT, Object-Relations, and Existential Therapy.
