Meet Julie:

"Before becoming an LMFT, I was drawn to stories — the ones we inherit, the ones we outgrow, and the ones we’re still learning how to tell. My early love of literature and arts taught me to listen closely to the ways people make meaning out of their experiences, especially the moments shaped by uncertainty, migration, family expectations, and the quiet resilience that often goes unspoken. Over time, this curiosity grew into a calling: to sit with people as they navigate the parts of their lives that feel overwhelming, forgotten, or fragmented.

My previous work in community mental health and school-based settings showed me how many forces shape our internal worlds. Trauma, work-related stress, shifting family dynamics, and broader environmental pressures all leave their imprint. I’ve learned that healing happens when someone finally feels safe enough to speak, reflect, and be understood without judgment.

As an integrative therapist, I draw from multiple evidence-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play and Expressive therapies. These approaches allow me to respond flexibly to each client’s needs, supporting clients in understanding their internal world, processing unresolved experiences, and developing practical skills to improve communication, reduce conflict, and strengthen connection. My work is trauma-informed and responsive to both past and present concerns, whether they emerge from personal experiences, couple dynamics, family systems, or external stressors, in order to promote a person’s sense of safety, identity, and connection.

My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment in which clients can gain clarity, strengthen internal resources, and move toward a more grounded and authentic sense of self. I strive to offer a space where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered as they work toward healing and meaningful change."
