Raising a teen/young adult in the age of technology is hard. Raising one in recovery can be even harder. Join Andrea Throndson, LMFT in this support group designed specifically for caregivers of recovering teens / young adults and receive some extra support and guidance as you support your child in their recovery.
In this group, we’ll focus on “raising your teens / young adults…not fixing them” by discussing healthy communication strategies for you and your child, boundary setting and adhering to limits, and so much more. In addition, we’ll also discuss psychoeducation about the recovery path to help you recognize the difference between supporting and enabling so you can find your footing again.
Your child’s recovery does not only affect their lives and cannot happen in isolation. Their healing changes the entire homeostasis of the family system, making community support even more important during these challenging times. Learn from others, share your own story, and learn how to take control of your own experience.
